Sorry I didn't get to post as I wanted to yesterday. My Monday turned out to be a mess. I was in a car accident. I got hit from behind by an under-aged driver using her friend's car. Can you say insurance mess? Fortunately, I don't think I'm hurt too badly and the driver wasn't either. That's what really counts.
This is the card that I wanted to get posted. It's an anniversary card to my wonderful husband (who left his lunch meeting to be with me after the accident happened! My rock!).
I began by tracing the heart using one of my heart nestability dies. The two love birds were punched out using the new Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch from the current Occasions mini catalog. The papers used for the birds are chocolate chip and Bermuda Bay dsp. The sentiment is from the Three Little Words stamp set in the current Idea catalog.
The border along the bottom of the card was done with a Spellbinder's border die. I sponged on the color for the detail before removing the die. I used the notched corner punch (retired) for some interest on the corners, a couple of pearls for the bird eyes (can't decide if that's creepy or not) and called this one good.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a great day.

Yikes, I'm glad everyone was ok. What was that young (obviously unlicensed) driver thinking?! Sheesh.
Love the card! Our anniversary is coming up in a few days, too...so I appreciate the ideas I've been getting. :)
This is the sweetest card. I was lucky enough to get to see this one in person.:)
Those little birds wings are adorable and I love the pearl eyes. Not creepy! Hubby will love it. Happy Anniversary!
Sorry about your accident but thankful no one was badly injured.
