Flight of the Butterfly

Hello everyone.  Can you believe we're coming to the end of February?  I think Mother Nature hasn't been informed.  As I write this post, it's zero degrees F, and the windchill is well below zero.  I dont'think there will be any butterflies flitting around any time soon.  Isn't it great that, through the magic of stamping, butterflies can appear and give the feeling of spring!
Flight of the butterfly is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! stamp sets (I think I say that a lot.  I guess I have a lot of favs :-)  The main butterfly is inked up in bashful blue.  I then gave the edges a darker shading by doing the rock and roll technique.  This is done by rolling the very edges of the stamp in a darker ink (in this case pacific point -retired).  The little butterflies are die cuts from the new beautiful wings embosslit.  I especially love the tiny one.  And, what would a card be without a little bling?  I added dazzling diamonds glitter in the very center of the flowers on the main butterfly and gems (from my stash) in the corner.
Thanks for stopping by today!
The recipe:
Stamps:  Flight of the Butterfly
Paper:  Bashful blue, pacific point (retired), white, bashful blue designer paper series
Ink:  Bashful blue, pacific point (retired), black
Accessories:  Bashful blue gingham ribbon (retired), CB embossing folder, gems, beautiful wings embosslit, black marker, Spellbinder nestie die, glue pen, dazzling diamonds glitter

This card is just adorable! Very uplifting! Yes, someone needs to yell at mother nature. We're in for yet ANOTHER big storm in the next day or two. UGH....more snow.
